This project revisits the original 2022 concept and reimagines it in 2025 with a focused design vision using refined design strategy and improved UI navigation.

Problem
How can version 2022 be refined and descoped into a more focused experience that resonates with users?
User
Users are passionate gamers who dedicate a lot of time to play games. They enjoy buying physical and digital versions of the game, interacting with the community and collecting merchandise.
User Pain Point
Gamers who have been playing for a long time might have forgotten titles. Collecting can also be an expensive hobby.
The Challenges
There were two core challenges during this project.
Identifying Core Funtionality
The product did not have a clear identity. It tried being many things at once which resulted in feature overload.
Simplifying and Descoping
It was important to step back and pivot the product to restructure the app intentionally. I can focus on creating a stronger user experience and value.
Learning Opportunity
The user journey imagines how Clique 2025 could exist for an average user.
This outlines pain points and oppportunties to improve user experience and satisfaction.

Match Maker is a feature that allows users to complete a series of questions to help them find a game that match their interests and needs.

Concept Exploration: 2022
In 2022, the concept focused on community building with online interactions such as direct messaging, posting board and online groups.
Concept Exploration: 2025
2025 version focused on a solo experience, allowing the user to collect and track their video games. Some elements of the original concpt were kept such as the game reccomendations.
Design Pivot
This design pivot became an opportunity to step back and approach the product with more strategic intent. The side-by-side comparison demonstrates how the UI and navigation evolved.
Improvements
Clique could be further refined and improved to improve user experience and product value.
Community
Add community features to improve engagement and user retention. This incentivizes users to keep coming back.
Accessibility
Add accessibility features. This includes light and dark mode, customizable elements such as making images larger.
Improved UI
The UI could be further refined to improve visuals and navigation flow.
Reflection
Design is not just about creating something visually appealing; it's about solving problems with intention. Working on Clique taught me to embrace iterative improvement. This project allowed me to descope, clarify intent, and build with a clear purpose. It’s not just about adding features, but designing the right experiences that resonate with users.
