Problem
How can the version 2022 be refined and descoped into a more focused experience that resonates with users?
User Overview
The target users are passionate gamers who dedicate significant time to playing. They enjoy interacting with the community and using their spare time to play games.
User Pain Point
Gamers can lose track of titles they've played or meant to play. Buying games can quickly become an expensive habit without a way to manage or prioritize it.
The Challenges
There were two core challenges during this project.
Identifying Core Funtionality
The original product lacked a clear identity. It tried being too many things at once which resulted into feature overload.
Simplifying & Descoping
It was important to step back and pivot the product to restructure the app intentionally. Narrowing the focus built a stronger user experience and deliver clear user value.

Concept Exploration: 2025
The 2025 version shifts to a solo experience, focused on collecting and tracking games. Some elements of the original concept were carried over but the experience was rebuilt.
Design Pivot
This design pivot became an opportunity to step back and approach the product with more strategic intent. The side-by-side comparison demonstrates how the UI and navigation evolved.
Improvements
Clique could be further refined to improve the user experience and strengthen product value.
Community
Reintroducing community features could improve engagement and retention, giving users a reason to keep coming back.
Accessibility
Add accessibility features. This includes light and dark mode support and customizable display options.
Improved UI
Continued refinement would improve the user experience and navigation for the user.
Reflection
Design is not just about creating something visually appealing; it's about solving problems with intention. Working on Clique taught me to embrace iterative improvement. This project allowed me to descope, clarify intent, and build with a clear purpose. It’s not about adding features but, designing the experiences that resonate with users.
